HDD Work

Trenchless pipeline installation below roads, railways and waterways

HDD Work

What HDD Work involves

Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) allows pipelines or ducts to cross obstacles without opening the surface throughout the crossing. A pilot bore is drilled along the engineered path, enlarged in stages and prepared for controlled pullback of the pipe string.

How we support the work

Our site team coordinates manpower, operators, access and equipment around the approved client scope. Execution is sequenced so each work front is ready for the next pipeline activity with minimal avoidable delay.

Typical scope

  • Entry and exit pit preparation
  • Pilot bore execution
  • Progressive reaming to required diameter
  • Drilling-fluid preparation and circulation support
  • Pipe-string alignment and pullback assistance
  • Site restoration after crossing completion

Common applications

  • Road crossings
  • Rail crossings
  • Canals and rivers
  • Congested urban stretches
